Description

Divara Ena Tau Ta is in the Motu language and one of the historical Peroveta songs saying that they pay homage to those south sea island missionaries that came to Papua New Guinea to bring the gospel and especially from islands of the Cook Islands. This song is paying homage or acknowledging that Ruatoka was the leading south sea island missionary that was brought by the LMS London Mission Society from 1871 coming from the Loyalty Islands over to the Torres Strait and to Hanuabada village. Rautoka was in Hanuabada village teaching the Hanuabada villagers how to sing these wonderful songs so Divara Ena Tau ta says this is a man of God named Ruatoka. Song Lyrics: Iesu Keriso e vara herevana bunai la bunai la Davida natuna mai Aberahamo Iesu Keriso e vara herevana bunai la bunai la Davida natuna mai Aberahamo I-I-e lesu lesu la una ...
