Description

This Sene song Komada Mai Kui is a children's nursery song and it's about collecting spider conch shells. Once the reef is out, the reef is exposed and that's the time to go and play and collect seashells. Idiomatic translation "The tide is out, the reef stands proud Let's flip Spider Conch shells. The tide is out! The reef stands proud!" (Tommy Dietz, January 2023) Song Lyrics: Komada mai kui, kui e Didi mai hore, hore Ragaraga o piukere piukere. Komada mai kui, kui e! Didi mai hore, hore! (Deveni Temu and PNG Peroveta Singers Canberra, February 2023)
