Description

At the crossing. CR is walking around talking to the kids as they are collecting martiya (bush gum) and jangarla (tree) what to call a particular plant (they call it kajkuru but this is the word for pandanus). They find some kalnga too (red ochre). There is a lot of talk, with CS and hard Gurindji. CR spends a lot of time trying to convince the kids not to throw rocks at the fish - for fear of disturbing the rainbow serpent other fish and crocodiles. She talks about the rainbow serpent and other characters. Children present are KW, TW, BS, MY and LD. Great session! 26:20min
