Description

This is a children's story about pəhɨ and bogum, two varieties of grasshopper. The two friends travel to the land of miti mita a mythological place in which food grains are considered to have originated. When they arrived at miti mita, the people of miti mita were very glad to see pəhɨ, but not bogum. The people considered pəhɨ very beautiful and charming. bogum was not very pleased with this reaction so he told the people of miti mita that pəhɨ is responsible for the destruction of crops, whereas he is not. Hearing this, the people of miti mita attacked pəhɨ. After the fracas, pəhɨ's face became deformed and pointed. pəhɨ got very angry at bogum and began to bite bogum's hand. As a result, bogum grasshoppers have tiny holes on their hands.
