Biography
Amateur sketcher, was born on 10 November 1842. She lived at Cornwall Park, Grafton, until aged 17, she married Harry Smith. A rather naive painting by Conrad Wagner , Cornwall Park, Grafton, Residence of S. Avery Esq. (1859, p.c.), shows the newly-wed Mrs Harry Smith leaving her parents’ home with her husband. Her watercolour Grafton Preece Street opposite Fisher Park 1860 (Clarence River Historical Society) is very like the Grafton watercolours of Mrs Selwyn and Miss Tindal , who were presumably friends.
