Biography
Jody Broun is a Yindjibarndi woman whose family connections are from the Pilbara region of Western Australia. Broun was born in 1962 in Perth. She has teaching qualifications and has a Masters degree in philosophy from the University of Western Australia. In 1998 Broun won the prestigious Telstra National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art Award and in 2005 she won the Canberra Art Prize.
