Biography
Les Saxby is a Wonnarua (Hunter Valley, New South Wales) painter, dancer and didgeridoo player who paints the Dreamings of his people. He was born in Newcastle, New South Wales, in 1971 to Norma Walsh and Gordon Saxby. He began painting in the early 1990s and was included in the 1998 exhibition “ Djalarinji: Something that belongs to us” at Manly Regional Museum and Art Gallery.
