30O Walsh Island Newcastle - named after H. D. Walsh, Resident Engineer at Newcastle of the Harbours and Rivers Department of Public Works. A Government Dockyard was opened here in November 1914 - transferred to the southern end of the Dyke in January 1942. Ref: Stretch Ledger A9082
