Scone - named after the St Aubin Channel Island by William Dumaresq Ref: Stretch Ledger A9082 Note: St Aubin } both these places were named after towns St Helen } in the Channel Islands by William and Henry Dumaresq. The Dumaresq family were Hugenots of Norman descent and after the recovation of the Edict of Nantes they took refuge in Jersey.
