Description

33H Macksville N Kempsey - named after two pioneers, Angus Mackay and Angus MacInally, who, when asked for a name of the surveyer suggested Macks Village. Notes: Originally called Nambucca in the early 1870's after the local aboriginal name it was changed to Macksville after Hugh MacKay and Andrew Macinally whose land had been subdivided for the town.
