26T Bong Bong N Moss Vale - Aboriginal meaning : two creeks or many watercourses. Originally Toombong an abo word meaning "dead water" or "out of sight" and refers to the fact that the river loses itself in the swamps in dry weather. In 1827 it was called Boong Boong.
