Description

Layer Warning:: Only corroborees that were recorded can be represented, such that these are often those witnessed by and/or performed for colonists and other audiences. Their distribution therefor reflects colonial presence rather than the distribution of corroborees.; In the evening a monster corroboree of about 70 native men and 50 gins from Central Australia was held in honour of His Excellency's visit. Flour, sugar, tea, tobacco, pipes, lollies and fruit was given to them by Lord Tennyson. The Government also donated tomahawks, blue shirts and serge for lubras' dresses.
