Description

Layer Warning:: Only corroborees that were recorded can be represented, such that these are often those witnessed by and/or performed for colonists and other audiences. Their distribution therefor reflects colonial presence rather than the distribution of corroborees.; Lord Carrington witnessed a corroboree at the Grafton Racecourse. About 300 blacks performed for tobacco, shillings and a bullock. 330 blankets were also distributed. Among them were the kinds of Grafton, Umarra, Rosewood, Yamba, Gordonbrook and Harwood.
