Description

Puckle St. & Margaret St. Moonee Ponds, 1888; Edgar J. Hendeserson, Contractor A. Bolger; A.B. & C.N. Jan. 19th !889. Pull out illustration (a very clear photograph) and description p. 69. Erected for the Misses Broomfield, this "rather striking looking block" is "Queen Anne, carefully worked out and perfectly original in design both externally and internally The fronts are of brick, with cement and stone details. The springers and skewbacks of the arches are of Warn Ponds stone, and the whole of the cement work is coloured similar to the stone, with a good and realistic effect.
