Description

Bank of New South Wales, 166 Pitt St. Sydney; George Allen Mansfield (q.v.) 1893; Herman A.V.S fig 204 & p.141 "...in the Baroque style exactly similar to that used by the Mansfield brothers for the City Bank of 1873 (Ref.A.B.C.N 18th Feb. 1893. Cyclopedia of NSW p.426). When finished it even had the same spiky, turreted French roof, which, with a tower that reached 110 feet above the pavement, has since disappeared."
