Place of birth Janyinki c.1920 and language/tribe Warlpiri. She lives at Lajamanu, her country being Janyinki and her Dreamings are Kanakurlangu, Mardukuja- mardukuja, and Yunkaranyi (Pirrkanji). She began painting at Yuendumu in 1985 and has settled down in Lajamanu in the last few years after many journeys up and down the road to Yuendumu, despite her age, with linguist Mary Laughlen, whose main informant Ruby Rose has been for the Warlpiri language dictionary.
