Summary
Tauranac studied engineering at Newcastle Technical College and joining his brother Austin Lewis, he designed the Ralt Mk1 racing car. He also acted as driver of the Ralt with some success. Later working with Jack Brabham, he was involved in the design and construction of Formula 1 racing cars. In 1974, he founded a Ralt motor racing design group, selling the business in 1988.
