Biography
Born in the late ’20s or early ’30s at Lapi-Lapi (Lake Mackay), she is Warlpiri/Pintupi and paints her father’s Dreamings, Kanakulangu and Ngalyipi (Snake Vine). Nancy started painting approximately 1988/9 and at first sold her paintings through Warlukurlangu Artists at Yuendumu. Subsequently, the local store at Nyirrpi, where Nancy lives, stocked canvas and paint to supply local artists and Nancy sold her paintings through the store. She is painting again for Warlukurlangu Artists, which now services artists in Nyirrpi. Her children and daughter-in-law are also painters.
