Biography
May Berger was born in 1935 in Alice Springs, where she has lived all her life. Her language/tribe is Arrente. For the past few years, she has been enrolled in Management and Home Management courses at the Institute of Aboriginal Development in Alice Springs. Through her contact with IAD, she began painting in the early ’90s. She was inspired by watching other Alice Springs’s resident artists. She has sold her work through the Gondwana Gallery in Alice Springs, and Jukurrpa artists’ co-operative based at IAD.
