Biography
Margaret Eades was born in Kojonup in 1946 and raised in Katanning and Dumbleyung in lower Great Southern Western Australia. In 1997 Eades gained a TAFE certificate in Advanced Art and Design. Her work is informed by the natural environment, family history and stories of Nippering, which is her heritage country situated near Dumbleyung Lake. Her family’s totem from her mother’s side is Centipede. In 2009 she was included in two group exhibitions, 'The Legacy of Koorah Coolingah (The Legend of Children Long Ago)’ at Brisbane’s Powerhouse Arts Centre and 'Noogar Koort Boodja – Noongar Heart Land’ at Gadfly Gallery in Perth.
