Biography
cartoonist, musician and teacher, was born in Melbourne. A physicist then a teacher, she was surviving as a musician and as a cartoonist by 1988, working part-time for the Melbourne Times and related newspapers. An original cartoon for the Bulletin is dated 1984 (original ML PXD 739). Cartoons illustrated in Bridges & Heimann depict the US stubbing out ash in an ashtray shaped like Australia (dated March 1988, 40) and the bicentennial logo as prison bars with a young Aboriginal face behind (dated March 1988, 92).
