Biography
One of the younger artists living at Balgo, Kenny Gibson was born in Yuendumu about 1959. A Warlpiri speaker, his country is near Jupiter Well, and his principal dreaming is Wanayarra (the Rainbow Serpent). He began painting in 1986, and his work demonstrates a high level of talent and imagination. He has a neat, careful technique, and yet was one of the innovators in the early days of painting in the Balgo community. His works achieve a real sense of movement.
