A prehistoric rock shelter in the Flinders Ranges, known as Warratyi, contained evidence that Aboriginal Australians settled in the interior of the country around 49,000 years ago. The site is approx. 550km north of Adelaide and "...also contains the first reliably dated evidence of human interaction with megafauna."
