Archie Roach is an Indigenous musician who has been recording music for almost 30 years. His album, Charcoal Lane, was released in 1990 and contained the single "Took the Children Away." This song was about "...the impact of the forcible removal of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples from their families and brought it to the attention of the global community."
