Description

Layer Warning:
Only corroborees that were recorded can be represented, such that these are often those witnessed by and/or performed for colonists and other audiences. Their distribution therefor reflects colonial presence rather than the distribution of corroborees.
About 150 of the Lachlan blacks have been camped near the new bridge for several days past principally from Condoblin, Cowra, Eugowra and the neighbourhood of Forbes. A grand corroboree takes place every night and there are generally two or three hundred amused spectators of their mummeries at night.
