Description

Layer Warning:: Only corroborees that were recorded can be represented, such that these are often those witnessed by and/or performed for colonists and other audiences. Their distribution therefor reflects colonial presence rather than the distribution of corroborees.; About 150 of the Lachlan blacks have been camped near the new bridge for several days past principally from Condoblin, Cowra, Eugowra and the neighbourhood of Forbes. A grand corroboree takes place every night and there are generally two or three hundred amused spectators of their mummeries at night.
