Description

Layer Warning:
Only corroborees that were recorded can be represented, such that these are often those witnessed by and/or performed for colonists and other audiences. Their distribution therefor reflects colonial presence rather than the distribution of corroborees.
During the week the public of Kalgoorlie have been treated to nightly corroborees near the State railway at Somerville. The Broad Arrow blacks and their compeers from Mt Margaret have been the mainstay of these gatherings. They were also joined by the Coolgardie tribe. A large number of people go every evening to see the corroborees.
