Description

Layer Warning:
Only corroborees that were recorded can be represented, such that these are often those witnessed by and/or performed for colonists and other audiences. Their distribution therefor reflects colonial presence rather than the distribution of corroborees.
Natives from Wellington and Point McLeay held a corroboree on the wharf. About 200 residents were interested spectators. Queen Louise of the Lake Alexandrina tribe claimed to be over 100 years old. Some natives left for Murray Bridge to hold similar entertainments.
