Biography
craftworker and teacher, was born at Lobethal in the Adelaide Hills (SA) on 10 February 1866, the eldest daughter of Rev. Dr Carl H.C. Loessel and his second wife, Hermine, née Piper. She was baptised at St Paul’s Church, Lobethal, where her father was pastor and at St Peter’s Church, Woodside. Alma Loessel became a teacher and taught at various schools around Adelaide, including Thebarton and East Adelaide. After retiring she settled at Beulah Road, Kensington, where she died, aged eighty-six, on 26 September 1952. This entry is a stub. You can help DAAO by submitting a biography.
