Description

Layer Warning:
Only corroborees that were recorded can be represented, such that these are often those witnessed by and/or performed for colonists and other audiences. Their distribution therefor reflects colonial presence rather than the distribution of corroborees.
Another corroboree was held by the Poolamacca blacks. Advertised in the Barrier Miner as 'Your last opportunity to help us return home with clothes and rations'. About 200 people attended. Two constables dispersed the mob and escored the blacks back to the Proprietary paddock where they resumed their interrupted ceremony.
