Only corroborees that were recorded can be represented, such that these are often those witnessed by and/or performed for colonists and other audiences. Their distribution therefor reflects colonial presence rather than the distribution of corroborees.
One man and two women took up their station in the new park close to the northern entrance to the Gardens and began a native corroboree. A crowd gathered and grew to 400. The hat went around and a pile of threepenny pieces amounted to some 30 shillings.
