Description

Layer Warning:: Only corroborees that were recorded can be represented, such that these are often those witnessed by and/or performed for colonists and other audiences. Their distribution therefor reflects colonial presence rather than the distribution of corroborees.; His Excellency accompanied by Sir Charles Nicholson, Mr Herbert, the Sherriff and other gentlemen paid a visit to a black's camp on the Eagle Farm Road. Having supplied the blacks with an abundance of good cheer in return they performed a corroboree for their entertainment. The following day a few of the blacks came into the town and performed in a paddock near Government house. See associated event.
